How We Work

Illustrative SonWay Construction panel headed "How We Work" and "Clear plans. Open communication. Care for your home." Two people sit at a porch table over drawings. Under "How we aim to work with you" it lists six numbered steps: 1 "Listen first - Your project, priorities and budget"; 2 "Understand the site - See the work in person when needed"; 3 "Agree on the plan - Scope, schedule and price in writing"; 4 "Work with care - Respect your home and focus on safety"; 5 "Keep you informed - Share progress and changes along the way"; 6 "Review together - Walk through the finished work with you." It closes "Start a project conversation." and "Midlothian, Virginia - Illustrative concept."

Construction goes best when everyone knows what's happening. Here is how we aim to work with you.

How we aim to work

  1. A first conversation. You tell us about the project, the property, your timeline and your budget range. We aim to listen carefully and ask good questions.
  2. Understanding the site. Where a project calls for it, we aim to see the work in person before we plan it.
  3. A clear scope. We aim to agree on scope, schedule and price in writing before work starts.
  4. Doing the work. We aim to arrive when agreed, keep the site orderly with a strong focus on safety, and respect your home and your neighbors.
  5. Keeping you informed. We aim to keep you informed as work progresses and when plans change.
  6. Finishing together. We aim to review the finished work together and take care of anything that needs attention.
